In an international context, where young researchers have to develop and share knowledge since the beginning of their academic career, the SIDREA - EAA DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM aims to provide an opportunity for PhD students to present, share and discuss their research projects with a distinguished faculty.

The keynote speaker will be prof. Mark Clatworthy, President of the European Accounting Association (EAA) and co-editor of Accounting and Business Research, a leading academic journal.

All topics and research methodologies, which are consistent with the SIDREA National Conference and European Accounting Association conference are considered appropriate for the DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM. The methodology applied is the discussion of research projects according to a peer review perspective.

PhD students who are carrying out a research project related to the topic above mentioned, are invited to participate. PhD Student at second or third Year of their PhD Program could apply for the Doctoral Colloquium.

The DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM will take place in English Language on September, 12th. There will be a discussion on research projects with senior faculty with international experience.

To submit the application for the DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM the following documents have to be sent to Roberta Ciccola (r.ciccola@univpm.it) by June, 30th, 2024:

• an abstract of at least 3,000 words or a paper (in English) between 5,000 and 8,000 words (co-produced works with senior researchers/faculty are not accepted). In the abstract, it must be also briefly presented the research method;
• Curriculum Vitae;
• a short description of the entire research project.

The contributions will be evaluated by a joint commission SIDREA-EAA of the Doctoral Colloquium, and the possible acceptance will be communicated by July 15th, 2024.

Furthermore, three (3) PhD students who will take part in the Doctoral Colloquium will be selected and will gain the following benefits:

• two years of free EAA membership, providing free access to the EAA journals (European Accounting Review and Accounting in Europe) and to the entire EAA-ARC website;
• reduction on the Congress fee (not combinable with any other discount applied to PhD student registration);
• free attendance to the EAA PhD Forum within the EAA annual congress (2025, may);
• opportunity to submit their PhD proposal to the ARC Peer Mentoring Initiative. Students should inform the EAA Executive Secretary and EAA National Associations Management Committee member when submitting the proposal to the ARC Peer Mentoring Initiative.

Please note that it is possible to send a contribution to the DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM and also to the SIDREA Congress at the same time.
